social workers should be held accountable for their actions even if they move to another local authuority or leave the proffession altogether
The local government Employee in the Glasgow who was the driver of the bin lorry that killed 6 people will have to answer questions about what happened. He cannot avoid this by quitting his post.
A social worker in Hertfordshire who fails to do her job properly cannot be part of any complaints process as she no longer works for the local authority concerned. The complaint cannot be thorough because the social worker who supplied most of the information to childrens services and visited the family in question conveniently effectively no longer exists. this is wrong...
