Petition Action

Raise pay and funding for all front line support worker roles across the UK.

Petition Details

Support support workers are vital to protecting lives, yet many earn less than roles with far less responsibility. I’ve seen colleagues leave due to stress and low pay, leaving vulnerable people without support. We need action to ensure fair wages and stable, skilled services across the UK.

Additional Information

Front line support workers face high emotional strain, complex caseloads, and critical safeguarding responsibilities—yet many earn below a liveable wage. Low pay leads to burnout, high turnover, and service gaps that put vulnerable people at risk. Fair wages would improve retention, morale, and outcomes. Government action is essential to protect both workers and the communities they serve.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do as we're not sure the kind of roles you mean by frontline support worker.

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do and who you would like your petition to apply to.
