Make the 29th each month UK Day of Community Restoration to unite communities
Communities across the UK face rising division, isolation, and loss of connection. A monthly Day of Community Restoration would create a regular opportunity for people to unite, take positive action, and rebuild trust, belonging, and compassion in neighbourhoods nationwide.
Loneliness affects 25% of UK adults, with 7% (3.8m) experiencing it often or always. Young adults are most affected, with 40% feeling lonely at least some of the time. Loneliness damages mental and physical health, increases risk of depression and illness, and weakens community resilience. A monthly Day of Community Restoration would create regular opportunities for people to connect, collaborate, and build trust, improving wellbeing, unity, and pride in communities nationwide.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
The UK Government and Parliament are not in charge of designating specific national days, this is usually done by charities or other organisations.
You could start a new petition calling for the creation of a new bank holiday.
