Front counters are not just symbolic; they are often the first point of contact for some of the most vulnerable people in our city. Older residents, survivors of domestic abuse, rough sleepers, people without internet access, and those in crisis rely on them to speak directly to a police officer

Additional Information

We strongly believe that this decision will be an absolute disaster for the safety of the public!

A visible, accessible public presence is essential to rebuilding trust between Londoners and the police.

The Met police should consult publicly on these proposals. It is essential that the Met police engage with Londoners, consult on proposals and seek views on how this might impact the same communities that they are working hard to rebuild trust with
