Create a National Pet Healthcare Service in the UK
The UK Government to establish a National Pet Healthcare Service to ensure all animals receive affordable, accessible, and essential veterinary care, regardless of their owners’ financial situation.
Pets are family, giving companionship, emotional support, and improving mental health. But rising vet costs leave many unable to afford treatment, forcing heartbreaking choices like neglect, surrender, or euthanasia. A National Pet Healthcare Service would provide essential care, vaccinations and emergency treatment for all pets, ease the burden on shelters, promote responsible ownership and protect public health. No animal should suffer due to cost let’s make pet healthcare free and accessible.
