Mental Health included on school syllabus
I am a year 11 student who has to complete a campaign of my choice with two other students in my class. We have decided that we all feel strongly about how mental health issues are tackled in schools, and we believe that more should be done about the subject. I have took this opportunity to create this petition to ensure that something could be done sooner rather that later.
Statistics show that one in ten young people between the ages of one and 15 has a mental health disorder; this could be depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, anorexia or schizophrenia. Which could lead to self-harm or even suicide.
We wish that schools would make it compulsory and part of the curriculum for teachers to teach students about mental health in a comfortable and delicate way.
You can't sign this petition because it was rejected. But you can still comment on it here at Repetition.me!
The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
There's already a petition about this issue. We cannot accept a new petition when we already have one about a very similar issue.
You are more likely to get action on this issue if you sign and share a single petition.
