Ban resale above face value for all concerts, and live events like football !!
Extend the existing law that bans football ticket resale above face value to all concerts, theatre and live events. Require all resales to go through authorised channels at or below face value, ensuring fair prices and protecting genuine fans from inflated costs.
In the cost of living crisis, fans are being priced out of concerts, theatre and live events by inflated resale prices—often 200%+ above face value. Football tickets are protected by law from such profiteering, yet no similar safeguard exists for other events. Extending this law would ensure fair access, stop exploitation by touts and resale sites, and keep tickets affordable for genuine fans, protecting culture and community.
