MP must live in the area for min of 3yrs & within 10miles during their term
MPs married or living in a relationship must share one home that has the tax relive on it!
No second-home tax relief. This ensures MPs live among those they represent, understand local needs, and stop exploiting taxpayer perks.
This requirement would ensure MPs genuinely live among the people they represent, fully understand local needs, remain accountable to their community, and cannot exploit taxpayer-funded perks for personal gain.
The candidate’s main residence must always be within the constituency or no more than 10 miles outside it.
To ensure fairness, reasonable exceptions may apply where constituency boundaries have recently changed.
