Allow care worker visa holders to change employer

Petition Details

We want the government to replace the current visa scheme for care workers, where care worker is bound to the employers who have sponsored their visa, to a new scheme which allows the visa holders switch jobs freely still within the health sector without the risk of losing their visa.

Additional Information

We believe that some foreign care workers under sponsorship by their employers are being unfairly treated and that some of these employers make it difficult for their staff to seek a new job. We think a new visa scheme will give care workers more freedom and stop exploitation.
