Rental history to be taken into account for new mortgage applications.
Allow all member of the UK who have a solid rental history and no rental arrears the opportunity to evident to a mortgage provider that they can afford a monthly mortgage repayment up to the value they have been paying in rent per month.
If someone has a history of bad credit then they must have a longer rental evidence portfolio to share.
I believe it is unfair that most renters are being priced out of the mortgage market and this will allow those that pay rent (so are unable to save for a deposit) to get onto the mortgage market and benefit both the economy and housing market.
