Free 30 hours weekly child care to 9 months child also to Welsh working parents
For the Welsh parliament to Implement the same law that has just been implemented in England, allowing working parents to receive free childcare since the child is 9 months old
Because the way of living has changed and we don’t live anymore in an era where we can afford to have one parent only looking after the child in his early stage of their life, and the other parent to carry the brunt of all costs. On average, childcare cost is equivalent to an individual’s average salary. The allowance that has just now been implemented in England was long due but regrettably this has not been the case in Wales or Scotland yet.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We can only accept petitions about things the UK Government or UK Parliament are directly responsible for. Decisions about childcare in Wales are a matter for the Welsh Government and Welsh Parliament.
