Introduce mandatory business and entrepreneurship in secondary curriculum
I am deeply concerned that, in 2025, we continue to deliver a national curriculum designed for the traditional career paths of the 1980s rather than the technologies and opportunities of today.
Entrepreneurship should not be treated as an optional extra, but as a matter of strategic national importance.
With AI and automation already reshaping the workforce at speed, I think our young people risk being left behind unless significant modernisation is brought into our school curriculum.
The next great British founder could be sitting in a classroom right now but without guidance, inspiration and education on how to develop their ideas, they may never discover what they’re capable of.
