Review guidance for funded IVF
I want the guidance for same-sex couples accessing NHS-funded IVF to be reviewed to remove the requirement to prove infertility through costly artificial insemination. IVF should be funded for same-sex couples on the same terms as heterosexual couples.
I want the government to review the guidance so that same-sex couples are treated equally. Right now, we may be denied funded IVF unless we can afford to pay for IUI first. This seems unfair and feels like a penalty simply for being in a same-sex relationship. Every couple deserves the chance to start a family, and that opportunity should never be taken away because of who we love.
