Provide free therapy for women post birth who have experienced traumatic births

Petition Details

Provide funding to offer women who have had traumatic births talking therapy post birth with registered charities/trained psychological support.

Additional Information

Women who suffer birth trauma are more likely to experience post natal depression or later in life mental health issues including anxiety and depression. Ensuring women are supported with their mental health post traumatic is vital for women to thrive in motherhood.

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action. We understand that you are concerned about support for women who have experienced traumatic births, but we are not sure how you would like the current support arrangements to change. Free mental health support, including talking therapy, is available on the NHS. You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like Government or Parliament to do differently.
