Petition Action

Allow people with Indefinite Leave to Remain to vote in parliamentary elections

Petition Details

Extend voting in UK parliamentary elections to include those who have been granted Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR).

Additional Information

We think anyone who has been granted ILR will already have made a significant contribution to the UK in a range of ways including paying Income Tax and National Insurance, and additional financial commitments through a variety of levies and visa fees. However, without a right to vote they have no say in how the contributions they have made to the UK are used.
