Save Dippy the Diplodocus!
This is a petition to force the Natural History Museum to keep Dippy the Diplodocus as the main attraction in the main Hintze Hall.
Currently the plan is to replace this, in 2017, with the skeleton of a blue whale.
Dippy has become an in iconic feature of the Natural History Museum and a fond part of millions of visitors childhoods. His replacement is a huge mistake and is rightfully causing outrage across the nation.
I would ask the Department for Culture, Media and Sport to place as much pressure as possible on the Museum to keep Dippy in his rightful place and to remove all it's financial backing of the Natural History Museum if this move goes ahead.
You can't sign this petition because it was rejected. But you can still comment on it here at Repetition.me!
The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
An operational decision for the Museum only.
