I would like to see a change in the labelling on meat sold to consumers in uk
To push for a change in labelling on meat sold to consumers in the uk , this needs to show how the animal was reared , conditions its been kept in , the slaughter procedure , halal , kosher or pre stunned .
We are aware of the suffering of factory farmed animals ,the mutiple births female farmed animals have to endure to provide meat to the uk consumer . What i would like to see is for every meat buyer in the uk to be able to see all the information about the meat there about to eat . Prestunning means less suffering as the animal is stunned at point of slaughter , halal and kosher does not permit stunning at most times , this results in more suffering of the animal at point of slaughter .
