Petition Action

Shut Down The Petitions Website

Petition Details

If the Government will not listen to our voices when we try to make a noise about a decision that is disagreed with across the whole political spectrum, there is no point in keeping the Petitions website live.

Additional Information

The government has shown plainly and very clearly that they do not care about what the citizens and constituents of their nation really want (See: Online Safety Act and Digital ID Cards). Keeping the petitions website live is a cruel way for the government to spit in the faces of the people they are meant to serve and continue down their ignorant paths.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

There's already a petition about this issue. We cannot accept a new petition when we already have one about a very similar issue.

You are more likely to get action on this issue if you sign and share a single petition.

You may wish to sign this petition, which calls for the same action: "Shut down the UK Government and Parliament Petitions system" petition.parliament.uk/petitions/734870
