Petition Action

Bring back NHS walk-in centres

Additional Information

We urge the government to bring back NHS walk-in centres without delay. These are essential to provide access to a doctor when GPs are not available, saving many unnecessary visits to A&E.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

Neither the Government nor the Department of Health is responsible for commissioning local services such as walk-in centres. Clinical commissioning groups and NHS England are responsible for providing local services according to local needs, without political intervention.
