Discuss a clear definition of the below: -English -Welsh -Scottish -Irish
We would like our representatives in parliament to determine a clear, tangible definition of the below:
-English
-Scottish
-Welsh
-Irish
Are they distinct ethnic groups present on these isles for 1000+ years? or are they words to describe anyone born within these borders?
The outcome of the discussion is completely irrelevant but the discussion itself with give the public an insight into how our representative think about the subject.
I believe that this insight will help people decide which party they should get behind going forward.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do. We do not know what context or law any definitions would apply to, or what action this would entail.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
