Raise the personal tax allowance to the state pension rate

Petition Details

Always raise the personal allowance to ensure state pension is free from tax.

Additional Information

We feel that living on just a state pension can be hard and under the current arrangement tax will be payable on the few pounds over the personal allowance.

To support those on state pensions and remove the requirement for tax returns in later years.
