Petition Action

Fund primary pupil assessments for ADHD before secondary school

Petition Details

Fund mandatory ADHD and learning-needs assessments for all pupils in England before they start secondary school, so every child’s learning profile is understood and supported early, improving education and wellbeing outcomes.

Additional Information

Too many children with ADHD, autism, or learning differences go through education without being identified, especially girls and pupils from disadvantaged backgrounds. Early assessment could allow support to start sooner, help reduce exclusions, and help every child reach their full potential in education and life.
