Introduce a Smartphone-Free Childhood Trial for All Children Under 16 in the UK
We urge the UK Government to launch a nationwide trial encouraging families to raise children under 16 without smartphones, protecting them from digital dangers and nurturing their mental and emotional development.
Children under 16 are increasingly exposed to the risks of phone.
This initiative will:
✅ Protect children from online predators, trafficking networks, and harmful digital content
???? Improve mental well-being by reducing screen dependency and social media pressure
???? Encourage reading, imaginative play, and outdoor exploration
???? Foster creativity and independent thinking
????️ Strengthen family bonds through real conversations and shared experiences
???? Promote better sleep and reduce anxiety
