Maintain Vehicle Excise Duty Exemption for vehicles over 40 years old
Reports suggest the UK government is considering scrapping vehicle excise duty exemption for vehicles over 40 years old. This will affect 340000 vehicle owners. The proposed changes will have a major effect on the historic vehicle industry, which generates £2.9 billion in estimated tax revenue.
Maintain the current VED exemption for vehicles of 40 years or older.
