Petition to the House of Commons: A Call for National Renewal

Petition Details

We, the undersigned, respectfully request that Parliament hold a vote of no confidence in the current Government. Rising living costs, national unrest and increasing division have caused serious concern. We further urge His Majesty the King to dissolve Parliament and call a general election.

Additional Information

The United Kingdom faces continued economic instability and social discontent. Many citizens believe the current administration no longer commands the confidence of the public or Parliament. A formal vote of no confidence would ensure accountability and restore public trust in democratic governance. We therefore seek the opportunity for the electorate to deliver a renewed and legitimate mandate through a general election.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

We can't accept petitions about appointments, which includes calling for a vote of no confidence in the Government. This is set out in the Committee's standards: petition.parliament.uk/help

If you're concerned about a particular policy or decision that's the responsibility of Government or the House of Commons, you could start a petition about that.
