Petition Action

Set mandatory minimum sentences for all child-related offences

Petition Details

We call on the Government to introduce mandatory minimum sentences for all sexual and violent offences against children.

Additional Information

We believe children deserve the highest level of protection under the law. Yet, many adults who commit serious crimes against children, including sexual abuse, exploitation, and violent harm, receive sentences which we believe do not reflect the lifelong impact on victims. We want our justice system to send a clear message: crimes against children will be met with the strongest possible consequences.
