Petition Action

Require schools to teach how to support vision impaired & disabled people

Petition Details

Implement high levels of education within the national curriculum about different disabilities, their impact and how to support people with these impairments.

Additional Information

When I moved to a city, I knew I would come face-to-face with different individuals from all walks of life. However, one thing I was not prepared for was a severe lack of education about vision impairment and their impact on individuals. I have lost count of the amount of times that someone has grabbed me and dragged me across the road. I always explained to people that I’m capable but feel this very much falls on deaf ears. I would appreciate your support to improve education around disability.
