Petition Action

Outlaw both parties from being named publicly in domestic abuse allegations

Petition Details

Pass a law which bans both parties from being publicly named in criminal cases relating to domestic abuse allegations until the defendant is prosecuted and found guilty.

Additional Information

Many men and women have their lives destroyed for years due to false allegations and may feel unable to defend themselves until the trial. Sometimes, this can come at the cost of a serious impact on a person’s wellbeing. We believe society is dictated by online coverage and there needs to be a black out on naming the accused unless proven guilty to stop this issue. When these allegations are false, it can cause more harm to the innocent than being found guilty could.
