Petition Action

Introduce Romanian as a GCSE qualification

Petition Details

Introduce Romanian as a school subject and recognised GCSE qualification, as with Polish and other languages.

Additional Information

We think this would help children of Romanian heritage in the UK maintain their native language, which is often lost as they grow up speaking only English. School age is ideal for language learning. We think promoting Romanian supports bilingualism, cultural diversity, and boosts the UK economy through stronger international connections and trade.
