Petition Action

Ban people on taxpayer funded benefits from getting tattoos or piercings

Petition Details

If the government wants to rein in spending, best it begin where there is evidence of taxpayers' money being used for unnecessary luxuries of which tattooing and body piecing must be high up the list.

Additional Information

I believe neither contribute value added to the economy at large but over time cost the NHS significant sums.

Benefits are here to support the less well off with housing, food, heating, clothing and education and not for them to spend on decoration their bodies. As a taxpayer I am happy to support those in need. Tattoos and piercings are not a need.
