Review guidance and fund training for psychiatric and mental health care staff
We call on the Government to conduct a review of sedation and chemical restraint policies in psychiatric hospitals and mental health care facilities.
We want Government to fund mandatory training for psychiatric and mental health care staff in trauma-informed and compassionate care, and increased access to talking therapies, peer support, and non-medication-based interventions. We believe hospitals sometimes respond to mental health crises with heavy medication and sedation, which we think is wrong.
If you want to sign this petition (as opposed to merely discuss it), you need to do that on the government's e-Petitions website.
