Petition Action

Stop having 2 tier old age pensions, ie "Basic" and "New"

Petition Details

Older state pensioners are set to get £2,933 less in State Pension payments per year in 2026 compared to younger retirees thanks to the triple lock. Older pensioners have the same cost of living
to contend with. Its grossly unfair.

Additional Information

Older state pensioners followed the rules as they were set yet they are being penalised. Lots of pensioners don't want pension credit and all the form-filling that goes with it, they want fairness, they want to be able to cope with the cost of living the same without all the worry.
