Protect our Pets from the impact of Fireworks
The Explosives (Fireworks) Regulations (NI) 2002 make it illegal to buy, possess, or use fireworks without a licence—and specifically ban “bangers”—every autumn sees unlicensed fireworks sold and set off at all hours, often without effective enforcement. We need a review of how this is enforced
This issue not only affects pets but also has a serious impact on vulnerable people, including children and individuals with sensory sensitivities, who find these sudden noises distressing.
