Reopen Whitmore Railway Station
Reopen the former railway station in Whitmore, Newcastle, Staffordshire. Opened in 1837 and closed on 1952, Whitmore railway stations served thousands in the surrounding villages of Whitmore, Baldwins Gate, and others.
Whitmore is less than a 10 minutes drive from many places, Madeley, Baldwins Gate, Ashley, Loggerheads, Butterton, Chapel Chorlton, and more. All of these places have to go to Stoke, Stafford, or Crewe for a rail link. The reopening of Whitmore would provide the almost 10 thousand residents of these villages a much needed rail link to the rest of the country.
