Petition Action

Make conflict of interest a criminal offence for MPs and Peers

Petition Details

Make it a law that any MP or member of the house of lords should not have a conflict of interest in any law, guideline or deal to be presented to the government. They should not have any links to businesses that will profit from new contracts from the above mentioned including company shares.

Additional Information

We believe that this risks a conflict of interest and poor decision making for our country because they would be chasing self profit rather than what is in the UK's best interest. This new law would be the foundational responsibility that allows for the stable functioning of society, creating a secure environment for economic and social life.
