Petition Action

Hold a review of MHRA guidance on disposal of unused medicines

Petition Details

Pharmacies are throwing in the bin medication that is unused, returned to them in date, in the original unopened packaging.

Additional Information

We believe this is disgusting and the government should review the current policy and guidelines. We believe this needs to stop as this is a total waste of NHS money. Working public are charged £9.90 per item!

There could be a cost saving to the NHS.
