Reverse Supreme Court ruling defining sex as biological under Equality Act 2010
We want the Government to amend the Equality Act 2010 so that “sex” includes the affirmed gender of anyone with a Gender Recognition Certificate. This would restore full legal protection for trans people removed by the April 2025 Supreme Court ruling.
I want to protect and defend LGBTQIA+ people from growing extremist attitudes and policies that target or exclude them. The recent legal changes risk isolating trans and queer communities. Everyone deserves equal protection, dignity, and safety under the law, regardless of gender identity or sexual orientation.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
The UK Government cannot change court judgements but can introduce new legislation about this.
You could start a new petition about that, if that is what you would like.
