Petition Action

Scrap the incoming ban of all online promotion of junk food

Petition Details

I ask for the reversal of the incoming ban on all paid-for online promotion of “less healthy food and drink” products. We urge the government to consider less restrictive measures.

Additional Information

We believe the total ban in all paid-for online advertisement is a disproportionate and blunt measure that disproportionately harms SMEs (Small and Medium Enterprises) who rely on cost-effective, targeted digital ads to compete with large supermarkets. We think it is not an effective solution to obesity and threatens vital jobs and business growth across the UK.
