Raise the personal tax free allowance in line with the raise in minimum wage.
A fair investigation, An economic and fiscal impact assessment using Microsimulation models. Cost-of-Living & Inflation Adjustment Study using ONS cost-of-living indices to track how average essential expense's have risen since the freeze and a Distributional Fairness review using a decile analysis.
Calculate a “real-terms neutral” allowance — the amount that would buy the same goods and services as £12,570 did in 2021. Benchmarking Against Other Metrics to tie the allowance to a transparent economic measure as well as a public consultation to measure perceived fairness and public priorities.
