Ban the sale of fireworks to general public & restrict use to licensed displays.
We ask the Government to ban the retail sale of fireworks to the general public and only allow their use at licensed, organised displays.
Fireworks cause fear and distress to pets, livestock, wildlife and vulnerable people and put pressure on emergency services. Every year, fireworks cause serious injuries and the deaths of many animals. Existing laws are often ignored and hard to enforce. Limiting fireworks to licensed displays would reduce injuries, antisocial behaviour and noise, while still allowing safe, community celebrations.
