Petition Action

Social Services to reconsider options and liaise with all parties when family members disagree on the care of elderly parent.

Additional Information

If one family member wants to care for a parent in their own home and the other family member wishes the parent to go in to a Care Home, social services must not lean towards a Care Home using the "BEST INTEREST CLAUSE." Both family members should be consulted thoroughly.

No decision should be made without all parties concerned being fully informed.
