A Homeland Border force to counter the arrival of illegal migrants on UK shores
I want the Government to establish a dedicated Homeland Border Force with the resources, authority, and equipment to prevent unauthorised small-boat arrivals, protect UK coastal security, and ensure that immigration laws are effectively enforced
The current system places significant pressure on border resources and public services, including high accommodation costs. A specialised Homeland Border Force could provide a clearer, more effective response, including the capacity to return people safely using designated vessels, and reduce the long-term financial and operational burden on the UK.
