Do not extend ILR qualifying period for RQF6 & below workers

Petition Details

We believe the proposed extension of the ILR qualifying period from 5 to 10 years for RQF Level 6 and below skilled workers will cause severe financial hardship, heightened stress, and imbalance in work-life for ground-level employees contributing vitally to the UK.

Additional Information

We feel these changes would inflict severe financial burdens—repeated visa fees drain of modest earnings—while spiking stress and shattering work-life balance. Like exempted doctors and nurses who served in the pandemic, many have toiled in essential roles, retail store, delivering goods and sustaining the economy. Exempt current visa holders to honour their commitment to Britain.
