Keep the 5 years route to refugees, we can’t go back to uncertainty.
Please keep the 5-year settlement route for refugees who already have status. We survived trauma and years of uncertainty to finally feel safe. Don’t push us back into fear with longer routes. If rules change, they must not be applied to those already recognised.
Many refugees, including survivors of human trafficking, endured years of trauma before finally finding safety in the UK. Changing our path to a longer route now would take away the security we have just begun to build. We should not be forced back into fear or instability after overcoming so much. The Government must honour the commitment made when our status was granted.

Keep the 5-Year ILR route for refugees. Do not extend it to 10 or 20 years
