Petition Action

Don’t apply the new ILR rule changes for who are already in existing pathway.

Petition Details

Please do not apply new ILR rule changes to those already on the 5-year pathway. Doing so is unfair and harms people who relied on the original rules. Parliament should justify this unfairness and protect current people.

Additional Information

Applying new ILR rules to people already on the 5-year path is unfair because they planned their lives around the original requirements. Changing rules mid-journey harms their stability, creates unexpected burdens, and breaks legitimate expectations.
