Petition Action

Maintain the B1 English Language requirement for ILR

Petition Details

Scrap the planned B2 English language requirement and maintain the B1 requirement for qualifying for ILR, to bring it in line with a majority of UK citizens who have GCSE level English and may not have formal A-Level qualifications.

Additional Information

We believe it’s unfair for non-native English speakers to be required to have a higher academic level of English over UK-born citizens.
