Recognise Care Workers as Essential and Grant ILR After 5 Years of Service
We ask the Government to grant Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR) after 5 years of continuous service for overseas care workers in qualifying social-care roles,. We are not seeking public funds; we are seeking stability, dignity, and recognition for essential work.
Care workers support vulnerable people across the UK, providing compassionate care to the elderly, disabled, and those with long-term needs. Proposed immigration rules may extend settlement to 15 years, causing deep uncertainty for those already in demanding roles. We do not seek benefits; we seek stability and dignity for our families. We ask the Government to recognise care workers’ essential contribution and grant ILR after 5 years of continuous service so the care sector can survive and grow
