Pay more to security staff
We request that security companies implement:
1. A meaningful pay increase to reflect the value and risk of the role
2. Regular wage reviews to keep pay in line with cost-of-living increases
3. Clear communication on how security staff will be supported going forward
call for an immediate review and increase of wages for all security staff. Security personnel play a critical role in maintaining safety, preventing incidents, and protecting staff, visitors, and property. Despite the demanding nature of the job, current pay does not reflect the responsibility, risk, and professionalism required.
Security staff routinely:
• Manage high-stress and dangerous situations
• Work long and irregular hours
• Provide essential support that keeps operations running.
Fair pay is essential to:
• Retain trained and experienced staff
• Improve morale and job satisfaction
• Reduce turnover and associated training costs
• Ensure safety standards remain high

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We could accept a petition calling for the UK Government to introduce a higher minimum wage for security staff, if that's something that you'd like to see.
