Petition Action

Stop social media posts being shown with dogs that have cropped ears

Petition Details

We call on the Government to make social media platforms ban future posts and remove existing posts that show dogs with cropped ears.

Additional Information

It is illegal to crop a dog's ears in the UK. I look at social media posts of dogs and see many with cropped ears. If we are to stamp out this cruel practice, then we should stop it from being promoted (directly or indirectly) on social media platforms. We have managed to restrict violent acts being shown across social media, but why is this not included in the same legislation?
