Petition Action

Call a General Election as a result of Labour breaking manifesto promises.

Petition Details

Labour was elected to deliver its manifesto pledges, promised to the British public. The most recent budget has, by its design, made businesses and the working public paying more. Income tax has risen through stealth tax, by the way of freezing tax thresholds and increasing minimum/living wages.

Additional Information

Reverse the decision to freeze income tax thresholds and allow it to increase and align with inflation, easing the tax burden on hard working people.
Revise the pay-per-mile tax on electric vehicles, which will destroy investment in the sector and pull more people into poverty
Reinstate the child benefit cap if it cannot be funded without penalising working people who fund those claiming.

If the above cannot be addressed, the Chancellor and Prime Minister should resign with immediate effect.
